& other truths of the car industry

What's the difference between Scott Clark and other dealerships?

At Scott Clark, we value honesty and transparency. We also prefer to treat everyone who comes into contact with us with respect and dignity. Other dealerships say these things but their advertising is a window into what you will experience at their stores. You can see their disingenuous advertising via unattainable discounts, huge disclaimers, cute kittens, children, & monster truck rally style commercials. We don't try to distract you from the truth and only advertise what we do and have. The bottom line is that we respect your intelligence.

Why are you closed on Sundays?

Scott Clark is devoted to people. We're devoted to providing our customers with the BEST customer experience. But we can't provide the best experience when our staff is not at their best. Closing on Sundays allows us to give our team time to rest, time to give back to our community, and time to spend with loved ones so that when we reopen our doors on Monday morning, our team members are at their absolute best and ready to take care of you.

Why don't you advertise "Sales"?

Most "sales" are hype and fluff. Car dealerships pay about the same for vehicles every day of the year, that's why we offer competitive trade values and aggressive pricing on all vehicles while providing outstanding customer service, speed and convenience every single day of the year, not just during "sales". Honesty is just one thing that sets Scott Clark apart.

What is a Delivery Coordinator?

Let's face it, after a sales person sells you a car the last thing they want to do is spend a lot of time doing a proper delivery. At Scott Clark we have a department of Delivery Coordinators whose only job is to do a quality vehicle delivery for you. This insures that we take as much time as necessary with each of our customers to show you every feature of your car, set it up to your specifications, pair your phone and provide accurate and timely deliveries to every customer. Why don't all dealerships do that?

Why is the end of the year the best time to purchase a vehicle?

As the year closes, we have to make room for new models. The manufacturers incent us for selling a certain quantity of vehicles each year. Those funds are great motivation for us to pass the savings along to you! If you own a business, there are also beneficial tax incentives that may apply to your company.

How does Scott Clark sell more used cars than anyone in the Charlotte area?

We like to think it comes down to one word: reputation! For years we've sold quality used vehicles that are thoroughly checked by our team of trained and certified technicians before getting to our sales lot. If they don't make the cut, they go to auction. (And may end up at other car dealerships in the area who aren't as picky as us.) We do this so you know you're buying a nice vehicle that will last you and your family for years to come. We also employ a top-notch team of sales experts that can answer any questions you have, giving customers all around the Charlotte area the confidence they need before driving off our lot. Finally, we stock about 1,000 vehicles at each of our locations so you can be assured of a huge selection to find what just you're looking for.
